While the Israel-Hamas conflict continues to escalate, a security advisory has been issued in Delhi.

Security has been heightened around mosques and Jewish establishments in the national capital.

Delhi Police officers will be stationed on the streets in significant numbers to ensure safety during Friday prayers, and additional security measures have been implemented at Jewish religious sites and the Israeli Embassy.

Amid the intensifying conflict between Israeli security forces and Hamas in Israel, heightened security measures have been implemented in New Delhi. The city’s authorities have raised security levels around mosques and Jewish institutions in anticipation of potential demonstrations in the nation’s capital, according to police reports.

In preparation for Friday prayers, the Delhi Police have deployed a significant presence on the streets with increased security measures. Additionally, security has been bolstered at Jewish places of worship and the Israeli Embassy.

This move aligns with several other nations, such as the US, UK, France, and Germany, which have taken steps to enhance security around “potential Jewish targets” and “pro-Palestinian demonstrators” in response to the escalating Israeli conflict. France, in light of a violent attack by Hamas on Israel, recently imposed a ban on pro-Palestinian protests in the interest of maintaining public order. Critics of the ban argue that it encroaches upon the rights to free speech and assembly.

Indian citizens who were stranded in Israel due to the ongoing conflict have been successfully evacuated and arrived in New Delhi today on the inaugural flight of Operation Ajay.
